Usage data & privacy
Holeshot collects limited usage and performance data to help its owner understand how often the game is played, which tracks people enjoy, and where it needs to run better.
What is collected
A random browser ID, page visits, game-load time and failures, race starts and results, selected track and engine sound, reaction time, shift boosts, broad device and browser type, Home Screen mode, referring-site category, and approximate frame rates. The random ID lets us recognize a returning browser; it does not identify a person by name.
The game’s analytics do not save player names, emails, raw IP addresses, precise location, complete referring URLs, or advertising identifiers. Hosting providers still process connection information to deliver and protect the website.
Your choice
Helps improve Holeshot. Includes races, approximate frame rates, device/browser type, and a random browser ID to measure repeat visits. No rider names, emails, precise location, or advertising tracking. Privacy details
The game respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Turning collection off stops future analytics from this browser. It does not remove previously collected records. Clearing browser storage creates a new browser identity and can also remove your saved preferences and personal best.
Global leaderboard
If you choose to submit a qualifying race, your chosen leaderboard name (up to eight characters), times, track, and record date are stored in the hosted database and shown publicly. Use a nickname rather than personal information. A separate secure browser cookie associates your records with this browser; it is not a verified account and does not follow you to other devices. Clearing cookies creates a new leaderboard identity but does not delete already published scores.
The game registers races online and stores result checks to support leaderboard submissions. These records are separate from optional usage analytics. You can play without submitting a name; no named score is published until you choose Save My Name. An internet connection is required to submit and view global records.
Who can see it
Usage records are stored in the game’s hosted database. The analytics dashboard and exports require the owner’s authorized ChatGPT sign-in. Data is used to improve the game, not for advertising profiles.
About the numbers
Unique-player counts are estimates of browsers, not verified people. A person using two devices can count twice. Blockers, opted-out browsers, and interrupted connections can cause missing events. Reporting begins with the analytics release; earlier games are not included.
